Fire Prevention Tips for Garages

Earlier this week, a detached garage in Grand Lakes Phase Two burned down. Community VFD was able to save the home, but we wanted to take the time to review fire prevention tips for garages to prevent similar incidents.

Community VFD Partners with Emergency Chaplain Group

Community VFD partners with Emergency Chaplain Group to provide Chaplain support for the department. Emergency Ministries is a non-profit who specializes in providing Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) for first responders. They are also available to support family and friends on emergency scenes.

March 2018 Response Statistics

In February 2018, CVFD responded to 677 incidents (572 EMS, 105 Fire Suppression). 349 incidents occured in District 91. 179 incidents occurred in District 92. 146 incidents occurred in District 93. CVFD was requested for mutual aid three times.
